Privacy Policy

Privacy policy covering Schubl AI accounts, images and image-use choices.

Effective date: 8 September 2026

1. Who handles your information

Schubl Pty Ltd, ABN 17 697 826 690, operates Schubl AI from Queensland, Australia. This policy covers the marketing website and related AI photo-editing service. Contact hello@schubl.com for privacy enquiries.

2. Information we collect

Information may include your name, email address, business and account details, waitlist signup, support messages, order details, uploaded photographs, edited results, image metadata and image-use preferences.

Photographs and their metadata can reveal people, property addresses, location data and personal belongings. Avoid uploading unnecessary personal or sensitive information and obtain the permissions required for the material you submit.

Billing records include purchases, invoices, Wallet activity and Stripe references. Card entry is handled through Stripe. See Payments & Credit Card Security for the distinction between card credentials and billing records.

Website and service operation may generate device, browser, page-view, network and diagnostic information. We receive information directly from you, through service use and from providers supporting payments and operation of the service.

3. Why information is used

We use information to manage accounts and waitlist enquiries, process and deliver edits, handle payments, respond to support requests, diagnose problems, protect the service, maintain business records and meet legal obligations.

Authorised staff may inspect images for support, troubleshooting and quality checks, including when training and marketing uses are disabled. That access does not override your image-use choices.

If you do not provide information needed for an account, payment or editing request, we may be unable to provide that part of the service.

4. AI-training choice

Uploaded photographs and edited results may be used to train, evaluate and improve Schubl AI models, with a separate training setting enabled by default. The business owner can change this setting under Business Info → Privacy & image use.

We record the business's training setting when an order is created. Changing the setting affects orders created after the change is saved, not existing drafts or orders. That record applies to all source photographs, results, reruns and add-ons in the order, including files added later. Orders recorded with training use enabled remain eligible for future model development, even if their images have not yet been used. The setting does not itself remove previously permitted images from datasets or reverse completed training. Enabling it again does not change an existing order's recorded permission. Orders without a recorded permission are not treated as permitted.

Any use of personal or sensitive information must have a lawful basis and any additional consent required. A default setting or acceptance of these terms does not replace consent where the law requires it. Your permission cannot remove the rights of other people shown in an image.

5. Marketing choice

The service has a separate marketing-use setting, enabled by default, for public use of source images and results in Schubl AI examples and promotions. Marketing permission is independent of training permission.

We record the business's marketing setting when an order is created. Changing the setting affects orders created after the change is saved, not existing drafts or orders. That record applies to all source photographs and derived results in the order, including files added later. Orders recorded with marketing use enabled remain eligible for future marketing, even if their images have not yet been published. Existing marketing materials may remain in use, with no automatic removal or recall obligation arising from the setting change. Enabling it again does not change an existing order's recorded permission. Orders without a recorded permission are not treated as permitted.

For an image-use concern, contact hello@schubl.com.

Image marketing permission is separate from permission to send promotional emails. You can ask us to stop promotional emails by contacting hello@schubl.com. Necessary account, payment and service messages are separate from promotional communications.

6. Service providers and overseas processing

Operating the service involves payment processing, hosting, file storage, image processing, email delivery and technical support providers. Stripe processes payments. The marketing website includes Vercel Analytics and loads fonts from Google Fonts; those providers may receive technical information when your browser connects to them.

Information may be processed outside Australia. Contact hello@schubl.com for information about service providers, processing countries and transfer safeguards. This policy does not ask you to waive protections for overseas disclosures.

We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims, subject to applicable legal requirements.

7. Cookies and similar technology

The dashboard may need cookies or browser storage for sign-in and service preferences. The marketing website uses Vercel Analytics to understand site usage.

Browser settings can restrict cookies or storage, but doing so may affect sign-in and other functionality. Training and image-marketing preferences are separate from browser tracking choices.

8. Retention and deletion

Schubl AI is not intended to store images forever and is not a permanent backup service. Keep your own copies of originals and results. No fixed storage period is promised.

Retention requirements depend on order delivery, support, permitted image uses, security, dispute handling and legal record-keeping. Source images, results, previews, processing files, training copies and backups may have different retention requirements. Contact hello@schubl.com with a deletion request. We will assess it under applicable law.

Only the business owner may change the training and marketing settings. Changes apply to newly created orders and do not change settings already recorded for an existing draft or order. Changing a setting does not automatically delete order files or withdraw permission for earlier eligible orders. You can separately contact hello@schubl.com about earlier images, withdrawal of consent, privacy or copyright concerns, deletion or account closure. We will assess those requests under applicable law, including any obligation to stop use or remove content, and explain any limits. The prospective settings do not restrict statutory rights.

9. Security

Protecting information requires appropriate access controls and safeguards across our service providers and systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security. This does not remove our obligation to take the protective steps required by applicable law.

Keep your login credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not send passwords, full card numbers or card security codes by email or support message.

10. Requests and complaints

Contact hello@schubl.com to request access to or correction of personal information, ask about deletion, raise an image-use concern or make a privacy complaint. Describe your request without sending unnecessary sensitive information. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information or changing an account.

We will assess requests under applicable law and explain any refusal or limitation. For complaints, we will investigate and respond with the outcome and any next steps. If a matter remains unresolved, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or the relevant regulator in your jurisdiction.

Your legal rights depend on the laws that apply to you.

11. Policy changes

Material changes will be notified where required, and additional consent obtained where necessary. Publishing a revised policy alone does not authorise new uses of previously collected information.
